How do I set up the drums?

All the hardware you need is already provided in the room. To set up the kit:

  • Adjust the hydraulic drum throne to the desired height. To move it down, sit on the throne and gently pull the lever upwards. To move it up take your weight off the throne and gently pull the lever up.
  • Position the bass drum where it’s stable and comfortable for your foot.
  • Attach the kick pedal to the bass drum and make sure it moves freely.
  • Make sure the kick drum beater is not hitting the drum skin at an angle as this will damage it.
  • Set up the snare drum on its stand and adjust the height so it’s comfortable to play.
  • Arrange the toms on their mounts or stands, making sure they’re angled naturally for easy reach.
  • Position the hi-hat stand to your left (for right-handed drummers) and connect the pedal.
  • Place the cymbals on their stands and adjust the height and angle for comfortable striking.
  • Sit on the drum throne and check that all pedals and drums are easy to reach without straining.
  • Tighten any loose hardware to prevent movement during play. Don’t overtighten any parts as this will damage them.
